Development completed by Tyrella Pictures on BLÁTH, a half-hour drama with TG4 as part of their Céim Eile scheme, with writers Shannon Welby, Seán Mac Dhonnagháin and script editor Emma Keveaney.

Oonagh works with writer Cristín Leach on adapting Cristín’s debut book NEGATIVE SPACE for the screen with the support of an Arts Council of Ireland Agility Award.

Oonagh leads a screenwriting workshop on BLUE IN THE WILD, a new Film Commission supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, at Backstage Theatre in Longford with producer Lara Hickey, script executive Sarah Aherne and writer/performer/poets Derek Ugochukwu, Chiamaka Enyi-Amadi and Felicia Olusanya. Supported by a Backstage Theatre Residency Award, Copper Alley Productions and Tyrella Pictures.

Oonagh is awarded a Markievicz Award and begins development of a new outdoor Covid-compliant live music-and-dance event called BIRDIE, inspired by life and legacy of Kate ‘Birdie’ Conway. Working with with DJ/composer Ellen King and producer Lorraine Maye and supported by Cork Midsummer Festival and the Cork City Council Commemoration Fund, BIRDIE will premier at the Cork Midsummer Festival in June 2021. We are nominated for Best Editing (Cara Holmes), Best Cinematography (Eleanor Bowman) and Best Direction (Oonagh Kearney). Alongside producer Roisín Geraghty, we will all be in attendance and would love to see you there.
